Collected Thoughts of the Month Gone By & the Week Ahead

It's time for the occasional blogger to pull her finger out and get writing again. [gets up, puts kettle on]... So what's been going on in the last month? More of the usual I think. OK, let's try what's going on this week. Well, TWR Europe has it's big Annual Partner Conference from Wed to Fri, and once again I have the privilege of being at part of it. It's an opportunity for the different partners (individuals and organisations) who work with us across the vast geographical and cultural expanse we call 'Europe'  to meet with us and engage with one another. It's about being inspired by the speakers we hear and being challenged to keep developing the way we bring the gospel to people today. There are so many opportunities (the range of potential media itself is amazing) and so many challenges. It will certainly be a very important couple of days.

This is where I realise I've not actually been thinking much about this big event in our annual calender. I'm busy planning my trip to the UK- my UK tour as I like to call it- which begins just after the conference on Saturday. I'll be in three different places over the ten days and am particularly looking forward to being back in London. It's the first visit since the start of Support Raising last summer and I can't wait to catch up with old friends and some of my first supporters. All amongst the lovely backdrop of London, which will always have a little place in my heart even if the cost of a single tube journey sends me singing my praises back to Vienna- Oh for the joy of affordable public transport! Perhaps my time at the conference will prove a good reminder of why I set out on and continuing along this journey of Support Raising. It strikes me that it may be the input I really need.

On another, although not totally unrelated note, it was good to re-read last month's post. A couple days ago I managed to get one more day of quiet time in before Easter. I'd been a bit frustrated with my efforts to spend more time listening to God this Lent. But I can confirm once again, 100%, totally, fully and utterly that taking the time out to be with God just does so so much good. It's an encouraging reminder that I should really be doing this more often.

Until the next time!
