Keeping Up the Commitment (for lack of a better title)

My commitment to this blog has been... err... anything less than committed lately. January turned out to be just as crazy as December was... And without making this sound like my Oscar acceptance speech, I would like to thank the friends who have encouraged me to keep blogging. Otherwise this blog would have died its death by now.

One of the things I wonder about is whether the blog is getting old. Am I going to keep re-hashing the same topics? Support Raising continues to be full of freak-out moments and unexpected encouragement... And I'm still having to be reminded that God is God and I am not. But if you'll forgive me for not having worked all these things out yet and you'll keep reading, I shall do my best to keep on blogging...

I'm actually getting back into the swing of Support Raising again and spending a little time back in wonderfully wet and windy Wales. As I met with a group today the following occurred to me:

1.) As I share about what TWR does and why, I am reminded of what I am doing and why. It's really good to have that reminder as Support Raising sometimes* feels like it's absolutely mental. ('sometimes' can be substituted with 'often' or 'multiple times in a 24 hour period')

2.) It is really quite a privilege to be invited into somebody's home to talk about the work of TWR and how I fit into it in my own small way. That in itself is really quite amazing. And it's nothing to do with my awesome presentation skills. That is all God...

... and as I continue to take that in, I think that might be all for now...
