Looking Back. Moving Ahead.

So we are now very much past the Christmas/New Year break and it is time to start blogging again. In fact this is quite a nice post to write since I get to share that on Monday next week I'll be heading back to Vienna. Soon after I'll be back in the TWR office. I'm in the middle of a fortnight of wrapping things up - doing my last talks and trying to catch the few supporters I haven't seen yet. As I start to reflect on the past two months I can say that it's been a really blessed time. And I really mean that.

I think I've enjoyed giving presentations more this time than in the past - perhaps I feel that I know TWR better now and that there is more that I can share from personal experience. I've also seen relationships that have developed over the past couple years and the fruit that has come out of these relationships - financial support, which enables me to return to Vienna, but something much deeper and more encouraging than simply the monetary provision this brings. With existing supporters I've also seen our relationships develop and I notice that people share more of their lives with me. I do find it a privilege to know what's going on in my supporters' lives and to pray for them.

It's been wonderful to see how God's been putting things into place for this year ahead. I admit that at times I've been waiting for the catch or the glitch; for the good things to fall through. They haven't.

I'm sure there is much more to reflect on, more highlights to share. So I will blog at least one more time after I return. Now it's time to think about catching up with people in Vienna and getting back into office life.

I just have to repeat: it's been a really blessed furlough. Thank you Lord.
