These Women

You're getting two posts from me within about four days, which means there must be something special to write about. This week's post comes from Germany (I am heading back to Vienna, I promise) where I have a week off of Support Raising. I'm here attending Project Hannah's very first European conference. Project Hannah is, simply put, TWR's ministry for women. The only problem is that's like saying Pavarotti was a bloke who sang.
This amazing movement of women changing the lives of other women all over this planet is almost indescribable. During the past year of my involvement with TWR, I've had the privilege of learning about this movement of prayer, awareness building, radio programming and humanitarian work. This week I get to meet some of the amazing women from Europe and places further afield, who are bringing hope to women in some pretty dark places. And many of those places are a lot closer to home than we'd like to think- the focus, after all, is Europe.

As attempting to give you more detail would get beyond the digestible portion of a blog post, I'm gonna ask you to check out http://www.projecthannah.org instead. And don't stop there. Ask me to pass on some of the almost unbelievable, true stories I've heard; stories that should be heard by many, many more people. I have a number of thoughts about the issues affecting women worldwide and the role of Christians in bringing hope to women wherever they are. Having said that, the dodgy cocktail of English germs I brought over with me on the plane is encouraging me to get to bed. I'm really thankful for these women spending the week here. And I'm looking forward to telling you more... Gute Nacht!
